We were lucky there was a place for us. All the other tables were booked. We were served quite quickly and very friendly. The food was good. Definitely an address to keep. There is a nice terras where you can eat outside. Under the Theaterplein there is a huge parking. If there is an event in the Stadsschouwburg this one could be full. There are however a few other parkings in the neighbourhood.

I ended up at Brasserie den Antigoon in Antwerp completely by chance, and I’m so glad I did. I was told by several locals that I needed to try cherry beer since it’s special here. While walking around, I decided to pick a spot at random, and this one turned out to be perfect. Vincent took amazing care of us. He recommended really tasty cherry beers and shared stories about each one, including the types of people who usually drink them. It gave me a real glimpse into Belgian beer culture. We didn’t eat during this visit, but the beers and conversation were more than enough to make it memorable. When I mentioned I was from New York City, Vincent told me about a bar back home owned by someone he knows, where I could find a similar Belgian vibe. I can’t wait to check it out and connect the dots on this side quest. I’d definitely come back to Antwerp just to visit this spot again.

Nice brasserie as they call it, typical bar/restaurant. Try the asparagus or the vol-au-vent home-made. If you catch a theatherplay at Elcerlyck (Frankrijklei 85), you may grab a bite afterwards in this venue. Only 400 meters distanced. Nice2know.

We had the veal rossini, and it was absolutely outstanding. The meat was cooked to perfection, tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The sauce was exceptional, rich and perfectly balanced, and the portion of winter vegetables was generous and delicious. The service was just as impressive, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt truly taken care of. An unforgettable dining experience we’ll definitely be coming back!
